You will create a special hand painted silk scarf. You will learn how to use a liquid resist to create your design on the silk. Instructor: Suzanne Connolly-Howes Adults, Teens, Kids; This class is designed for all ages – Kids 8 and up, teens, families and adults. Prerequisite: Class is for both beginners and returning students. Class Size: Because of classroom size, workshop is limited to 5 participants. Description: You will create a special hand painted silk scarf. You will learn how to use a liquid resist to create your design on the silk. We will take a short lunch break while the resist dries and then paint the scarf with special silk dyes. We will set the dyes and wash and iron to finish your piece. Your creation is a perfect gift to give a loved one for a special occasion – you can have the whole family participate. More than one person can work on a scarf if it is being made as a gift. Contact Suzanne if you want to schedule a special birthday celebration workshop with friends. Location: pARTiculars Art Gallery and Teaching Studio Contact: [email protected] 303-499-0635
