This emotional and passionate body of work, created in loving dedication to Maruska’s late father, took the artist on a healing journey, offering him a place to escape and to find himself. For Maruska, abstraction speaks many languages where a color may whisper a childhood memory, a mark may trace the line of a familiar melody or rhythm, or a shape may drift into a suggested landscape.
