Creating wall dishes with found items; The arrangements are inspired by their environment & invite the viewer in. I draw inspiration for these arrangements from walks in nature and from creating in the kitchen. Foraging asks us to tune into our environment and can be a way for us to feed ourselves. For me it is a meditation on the present, a chance to slow down and tune in, but it has also become a way to get creative in new ways in the kitchen. While on my foraging journey these last few years I have learned how to harvest and prepare or preserve a number of wild mushrooms. Cooking food is a vital part of living, it can bring so much nourishment and creativity to our world. I have been cooking with and for others since I was little and I bring that energy to these creations while reflecting on the patterns and life cycles created in nature. I carefully collected, arranged and preserved these items to create these appetizing pieces.
