Tournament featuring fast-paced matches, a double elimination bracket, and prizes for the top players. Players will compete in best-of-3 matches with 3 stocks and a 6-minute timer. The tournament is capped at 16 players, so advance registration is recommended. Before the tournament begins, each player will register up to three characters they may use throughout the event. Once the tournament starts, your character list is locked in, so choose wisely. Event Details Maximum Capacity: 16 players Age Limit: 14+ Entry Fee: $30 Format: Double Elimination Match Length: Best of 3 Stocks: 3 Timer: 6 minutes Prizes Prizes will be awarded to the top players: 1st Place: Half of total entry-fee earnings 2nd Place: Free Game Block and Two Drink Tokens 3rd Place: Two Free Drink Tokens Tournament Format The tournament will use a double elimination bracket, meaning players must lose twice before being eliminated from the tournament. Each match will be played as a best-of-3 set. The first player to win two games wins the match and advances in the bracket. Match Settings All matches will use the following settings: Stocks: 3 Time Limit: 6 minutes Items: Off Stage Hazards: Off Final Smash Meter: Off Spirits: Off Damage Handicap: Off Launch Rate: 1.0x Underdog Boost: Off Score Display: Off Damage Percentage Display: On Stage Selection Stages will be selected from the approved stage list and randomly chosen before each round. All stages will be played in Omega Form. Once submitted, this character list is locked for the entire tournament. Players may only use characters from their registered list. Before each round begins, players will be able to see their opponent’s registered characters. Mii Fighter Rules Mii Fighters are allowed. Mii Fighter movesets must be listed in the character name using numbers that correspond to the in-game move options. Character-Specific Rules Steve Restrictions Steve players may not build or mine underneath the stage for the purpose of stalling or avoiding combat. Repeated abuse of this rule may result in penalties at the discretion of the tournament organizer. Controllers Controllers will be provided by the tournament organizers. Players may also bring their own controller, including wired or wireless controllers. Any modified controller must be inspected and approved by a tournament organizer before use. Players are responsible for any damage caused to provided controllers through misuse, negligence, or intentional action. This may include repair costs, replacement fees, or disqualification at the discretion of the tournament organizer. Player Conduct All players are expected to behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner throughout the tournament. Aggressive, destructive, disruptive behavior, harassment, or intentional distraction of an opponent may result in penalties. Severe offenses may result in immediate disqualification and removal from the event. Penalties Rule violations may result in verbal warnings or penalties depending on the severity of the issue. Players may receive up to three verbal warnings. After three warnings, or in the case of a more serious offense, tournament organizers may issue one of the following penalties: Stock Loss Game Loss Disqualification Tournament organizers have final discretion on all penalty decisions. Check-In & Forfeit Policy Players must check in at least 5 minutes before the tournament begins and pay the full $30 entry fee to be officially registered. Failure to check in on time may result in automatic disqualification. Stalling Rule Players may not intentionally stall the game to gain an unfair advantage or delay a match. After losing a stock, players must make a reasonable attempt to re-engage in combat. Intentional avoidance, excessive camping, or repeated delay tactics may result in penalties at the discretion of the tournament organizer.
