Download Entry Form Fourth Annual Plein Air Competition Rules Who Open to any Painter. Three Divisions – Division 1 Adults – Division 2 – Up to 14 (must be accompanied by an adult) Division 3 14 – 18. What This is an open-air painting competition…any medium, no size limitations. Framing optional. In case of rain participants may complete their work from any protected area of their choosing. Participants are welcome to paint around downtown Pendleton and surrounding parks and historical settings. Where In the town of Pendleton, Indiana. When September 27, 2024 Check-in 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Completed work to be taken to Gallery 119 no later than 2:30 PM. Lunch Light Lunch will be provided. Now for the detail: Our Plein Air Event will be headquartered at Gallery 119. 119 West State Street Pendleton, IN 46064 Participation will be open to any painter. Participants can register either online at https://pasgallery119.org/ or at the headquarters between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Up to three canvases and paper, to be used, must be stamped on the reverse side at check-in. Painters are responsible for bringing their own equipment and supplies. Art created on the day of the event will then be displayed in Gallery 119 and judged. Winners will be announced following Judging. Our Judge is Marylin Witt. Framing and Matting is optional, participant must bring their own supplies. Those using canvases please refrain from painting on the sides of the canvas. There will be an entry fee of $25.00 for adult pre-registration or $30.00 for same day registration. Youth registration will be $10.00 each. Youth up to 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants will be allowed to submit up to 2 pieces for judging. Prizes will be awarded as follows: Youth Competition Awards for each Division – Best of Competition, Second Place and Third Place. Adults cash awards for Best of Competition $100.00, Second Place $75.00 and Third Place $50.00. No more than one prize may be awarded to the same participant. There will be a 30% commission on art sold on the day of competition. All art sales are to be processed through the Pendleton Artists Society.
