Founded in 1894, the Peoria Park District was the first park district established in Illinois. It now encompasses almost 9,000 acres of public land. Hear the story of how these areas of respite and recreation were developed. This bus tour departs at 10 a.m. from the parking lot across from Kelleher’s Irish Pub (619 SW Water Street).
