Materials saved from the landfill: hardwood scraps Skills you’ll learn: pattern-making, laminating, sawing, planing, sanding, finishing Please note, this two-day workshop takes place on Tuesdays, June 23 + 30 from 6pm – 9pm each night. Create your own custom cutting board in this two-day workshop! The class will lead you through the process of making your own wood cutting board from a variety of hardwood remnants. In the first session, participants will design their board pattern, laminate, and clamp their board together. The class will regroup for the second session to saw, plane, and shape their chopping board. Participants will learn the proper care of wood cutting boards and apply Perennial’s food safe and homemade wood wax to keep their boards in good condition.
