Materials saved from the landfill: paper, fabric Skills you’ll learn: expanding the basics of cyanotypes photograms with natural dyes If you’ve been bitten by the cyanotypes bug like our instructor Katie, this class is for you! Katie has expanded her cyanotype practice by altering the color results of cyanotypes. You’ll learn how to use household materials to create a range of outcomes from browns to yellows to baby blues. She’ll cover a bit of the science behind the tannins, acids, + bases that transform the classic Prussian blue of cyanotypes. Students will get to design their own creative experiments, exploring different lengths of exposure and various natural dyes.
