Materials saved from the landfill: clothes and other household textiles Skills you’ll learn: darning, repairing holes in knit fabrics Never worry about damaging your favorite sweater, sock, or soft stretchy garment again! In this class, students will learn how to repair small holes in stretch knit garments using traditional mending + darning techniques. Students will be provided with hole-y sample swatches to practice on, creating your own visible mending samplers to take home with you. We’ll discuss how to use the skills learned in class to mend your knit clothing yourself at home, visibly and invisibly.
