Materials saved from the landfill: clothes and other household textiles Skills you’ll learn: darning, repairing holes in clothing Never worry about damaging your favorite pair of jeans again! In this class, students will learn how to repair holes in woven garments using traditional mending and darning techniques. Each student will be provided with as many hole-y sample swatches as they need to practice on and are encouraged to used these skills on pieces of their own that need mending! Participants will create several visible mending samplers and discuss how to use the skills to mend clothing invisibly.
