Darning + Mending: Weaves

Materials saved from the landfill: clothes and other household textiles Skills you’ll learn: darning, repairing holes in clothing Never worry about damaging your favorite pair of jeans again! In this class, students will learn how to repair small holes in woven, non-stretch fabric garments using traditional mending + darning techniques. Students will be provided with hole-y sample swatches to practice on, creating your own visible mending samplers to take home with you. We’ll discuss how to use the skills learned in class to repair your woven clothing yourself at home, visibly and invisibly.
