Materials saved from the landfill: stained textiles Skills you’ll learn: techniques for growing and dyeing with indigo plants Have you ever dyed with a indigo kit? Try something new or take your natural dye skills to the next level by learning how to cultivate and use the indigo plant. As with many natural dye classes, this is a great skill for refreshing and repurposing old or stained textiles made with protein fibers such as silk or wool. Perennial is excited to offer this unique class in collaboration with teaching artist and farmer, Erin Luna of Black Rat Farms. Materials will be provided, but be sure to bring your indigo dye questions!
