Free for Members | $10 for Non-Members A skilled Hollywood stuntman, played by Ryan Gosling and known only as “Driver”, moonlights as a getaway driver for criminals. Though he projects an icy exterior, lately he's been warming up to a pretty neighbor named Irene and her young son, Benicio. When Irene's husband gets out of jail, he enlists Driver's help in a million-dollar heist. The job goes horribly wrong, and Driver must risk his life to protect Irene and Benicio from the vengeful masterminds behind the robbery. Drawing inspiration from Michael Mann (Thief) to David Lynch (Mullholland Drive) to Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction) Drive has been described as a “tough, hard-edged, neo-noir, art house feature - extremely violent and very stylish, with European art and exploitation influences.” The film is also noted for its retro, 80ish, europop synth soundtrack, command performance from Ryan Gosling and for being a breakthrough film for cult Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn.
