Exhibition: AACG Visionary Scholarship Winners

AACG Visionary Scholarship Winners Pittsburgh Glass Center presents the work of 14 artists who received visionary scholarships from the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass (AACG) to attend summer classes at Pittsburgh Glass Center in 2026. AACG Visionary Scholarships are awarded on the basis of artistic merit and are designed to identify, support, and invest in promising glass artists living and working in the United States, as well as those pursuing careers in the field of glass. This exhibition celebrates the scholarship recipients’ creative achievements and highlights the impact of providing meaningful opportunities for artistic growth and exploration. Once a neighborhood lounge and later a vacant storefront, this building has been transformed into a dynamic arts space designed to enhance the vibrancy and livability of our community. Created by Pittsburgh Glass Center in collaboration with neighbors and partners, The Corner activates a once-empty site as a place for creativity, connection, and opportunity. Pittsburgh Glass Corner is: A gallery showcasing emerging artists A flexible hub for exhibitions, events, and community gatherings A meeting place for local partners and nonprofits A residence for visiting artists and technical apprentices By opening this space, Pittsburgh Glass Center expands access to the arts, supports rising creative leaders, and provides new opportunities for diverse audiences to engage with contemporary craft.
