Banner Making Workshop: "Fascism Thrives On..."

Please join us for collective banner-making, stitching, and conversation: “Fascism thrives on . . . . “ This workshop responds to the call of the "Fall of Freedom" project by Dread Scott and Lynn Nottage. From the Fall of Freedom website: Fall of Freedom returns for its second year — expanding the national call to creative resistance. FoF is an open instigation to artists, venues and institutions across all disciplines to put your work in the world on October 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, countering fascist repression and censorship with joyful communities of defiant creativity. Art matters. Courage is contagious. Take part! This event is free and open to the public. Light snacks and tea will be served. Is a creative collective & intergenerational social practice center dedicated to building Rogers Park community through radical art making, mutual aid & programming. Embraces a horizontal organization model that centers marginalized voices while fostering mutual growth & healing. Intentionally works to counter systemic oppression, while building up positive alternatives outside of those systems and structures. Is committed to never requiring payment in exchange for programming associated with our collective. Does not endorse any political candidates, nor do we host political events, such as fundraisers.
