Close out West Side Fest weekend with a celebratory performance by the Jonathan Michel Trio. Renowned bassist, composer, and bandleader Jonathan Michel will bring traditional sounds from his Haitian roots together with the energy of the modern Philadelphia jazz scene to create a dynamic and deeply personal musical experience. Joined by members of his trio, Jonathan will perform an eclectic mix of original compositions and contemporary jazz, offering audiences an afternoon of rhythm, improvisation, and connection. This program is part of West Side Fest, a three-day celebration of arts and culture across Manhattan’s historic West Side, organized by the West Side Cultural Network. Jonathan Michel is a bassist, composer, and bandleader whose work draws on jazz, Haitian musical traditions, and contemporary influences.
