Strange-Air Painting

Once a month, we will turn the Riverwalk into a living, breathing art studio with easels dotting the riverside as performers drift through the scene like curious wildlife, and 50 people paint the strange beauty of it all. Our Strange-Air Painting workshop will be a Potentialist twist on traditional Plein-Air Painting, allowing individuals to learn painting techniques in a beautiful natural setting with bizarre elements like performance artists, temporary sculpture and costumed models. We'll host these public workshops every second Sunday of the month from 12pm - 3pm and all materials will be provided including canvases, paint and easels. Strange-Air Painting will be an all-ages event for every experience level, making art accessible to all. At the end of the year-long program, we will host a special show at the Savage Mystic Gallery where participants can hang their Strange-Air works and celebrate at a collective artist reception.
