About this event
One of 4 upcoming events at Lilian Fendig Gallery.
The Prairie Arts Council Presents: Get Together Thursdays October 22, at 6:00PM CST Get Together Thursdays is a multi-disciplinary program celebrating music, theater, and the written word. Our cozy gatherings will be held periodically throughout the year on the 4th Thursday of the month. For October, Eleanor Black will lead us in a theatrical table reading of a “Historical Pageant of RENSSELAER.” In 1921 Local High School Sophomores wrote a Pageant dramatizing key events in the history of of our town. Historical pageants were a popular entertainment format of the time relying on high drama, allegory, and farce to share key events and social messaging. As a group we will engage in a table reading of this high school play and maybe learn a bit about Rensselaer in the process. Snacks will be provided. To meet at the Carnegie Center. Free to the public.
