Two Man Art Show: Gary Griest and Mike Maas at the Art Hive

The Art Hive’s two-man show opens Friday, August 28, 5-8pm featuring Gary Griest’s Dadaist Install: Ghost Dancing in Crazyland, and Mike Maas’s Witty and Glamorous Pop Art Silhouettes. Exploring Pop Art and Dadaism, the show is curated by Clementine Giordano and runs through September 20. “While pop art and Dadaism explored some of the same subjects, pop art replaced the satirical and anarchic impulses of the Dada movement with a detached affirmation of the artifacts of mass culture,” Cloud Oakes, Director, explained.
