Meant for beginners curious about drypoint, in this workshop participants will use an etching needle to learn about intaglio processes without using a metal plate or acid bath. All participants will have the opportunity to create a drawing on a plexiglass sheet using a scribe, ink their plate, and print their matrix with multiple rounds of proofing. Led by Ian Ruppenthal, Assistant Printer & Studio Manager, Lower East Side Printshop. All materials are provided. Please note this workshop takes place at Lower East Side Printshop. Registration is required. Priority registration for members opens September 1. Registration opens to public September 17.
