This studio manual published by Skittledog Books is full of recipes for transforming botanical dyes into vibrant lake pigments, paints, and pastels. Inspired by the history and craft of pigment-making, Natalie is an artist and educator devoted to the material culture of color. In this presentation, attendees will get to peek inside Natalie’s traveling case of pigments as she shares the stories behind some of 200 colors she concocted testing recipes for the book.
