Saturdays 4/11-5/2 10:30am-12:30pm, 4 weeks, Acrylic Painting

Acrylic painting is an amazing medium that can provide a lifetime enjoyment. In this class you will learn more practice in the use of layering colors, proportions, composition, values, contrast, light and shadow as well as different technics of using acrylic paint. During this session you will be able to complete at least 2 paintings, one of it will be a still-life composition provided by the teacher and the other one will be a landscape from the photo you will bring with you that has a meaning to you. It can be a view of the house you grow up in, a favorite beach or marsh view, or even photo of your favorite objects. Meet the Teacher: Anna Ladyzhenskaya Anna Ladyzhenskaya is an internationally known artist born in Moldova, an Eastern European nation, when it was still part of the former Soviet Union. Anna completed Art School there, earning her credentials in both the practice and teaching of art, before getting her Master’s degree in Architecture. With over 30 years of experience in the art field, Anna works with all forms of media, from oil and pastels, to watercolor, acrylic and color pencils. She creates works that are just as diverse as the materials she uses, ranging in areas of focus from landscape, to still life, to portraiture. Before moving to South Carolina, Anna was an active member of the bay Area art community in Northern California. Anna has paintings in private collections in US and around the world.
