Join us in the Helen C. Frederick Gallery for an artist talk on the closing week of Pyramid’s collaboration with The Kreeger Museum on the exhibition Echo/Location by Imar Lyman , curated by Rhea L. Combs, PhD. Imar’s work is currently installed in Kreeger’s Contemporary Gallery in conversation with two masterworks from their permanent collection by Sam Gilliam and Frank Stella; an honor for any artist. He will discuss the process behind the work in the Echo/Location show, including his incorporation of printmaking into the other mediums of sculpture, collage and painting. He will also discuss how he has been translating his collage aesthetic into glasswork and three-dimensional work.
