Join us as we celebrate Independence Day and explore the stories of the American Revolution through the lives of the families who called Quiet Valley home. This year’s program highlights the upcoming America250 commemoration and the experiences of local Pennsylvania Germans during the Revolutionary War era. Visitors can enjoy old-fashioned children’s games, an ice cream social, flag lore, and a history bee in the one-room schoolhouse. Throughout the day, guests will also have the opportunity to meet Katherine Depper Meyer and Johann Ludwig Meyer in a special first-person interpretive program as they share their experiences living at Quiet Valley during the Revolutionary War and recount Johann Ludwig’s service as a Hessian soldier before settling in Pennsylvania. Date: Saturday, July 4th Time: 10:00am – 5:00pm Fee: Included with tour admission Instructor: Quiet Valley Staff
