Looking for something to jump-start your holiday season? Get in the spirit by joining a workshop where you will make a holiday craft and enjoy a homemade lunch of soup, bread, and dessert! This year, we will be offering the following full-day workshop choices: Full Day Workshop 1: Christmas “Penny” Tree Women of the 1800’s created “penny rugs” from scrap wool to decorate their homes and tables. Create your own 8 x 10 wall hanging/trivet/pillow with felted wool pennies. Participants will learn how to blanket stitch the colorful pennies. Many colors to choose as you design and create your own tree. Cost: $45 Instructors: Sue Oiler and Ceal Yost Full Day Workshop 2: Baking Apple Dumplings and English Muffin Bread Grammy Henning’s Apple Dumplings- Learn how to make a traditional PA Dutch Fall dessert. Flaky biscuit dough wrapped around apples and drenched in a sweet cinnamon syrup. English Muffin Bread- This is an easy to make no knead yeast bread that is a crowd pleaser! Sliced, toasted, and buttered!! Yum. Cost: $60 Instructor: Maryellen Mross and Deb Seip The following workshops are half-day which are paired to create a full day of workshops. Morning: Winter Painted Wine Bottle Light Participants will learn to paint a wine bottle step-by-step of this winter bird house scene complete with battery operated fairy lights inside to illuminate. Instructor: Meg Weinhofer Morning: Pressed Flower Coasters: Create eight beautiful coasters using epoxy resin and pressed flowers. These coasters are fun to make and each one is unique! Workshop includes all materials, and participants will keep the reusable coaster molds to ensure proper curing time for your creations and for coaster making on your own! Instructor: Ellen Oiler Afternoon: Wool “Evergreen” Decoration Participants will make felted wool “evergreen” decorations. There will be time to complete multiple of various sizes and colors. Completed in holiday charm with bells and ribbon! Instructor: Ceal Yost Afternoon: Dried Flower Wall Art Unleash your creativity while bringing a touch of nature inside. In this workshop, participants will use a wooden frame, wire and dried flowers to create a one-of-a-kind piece of wall art. All materials included. It’s fun and easy – no design experience required. Instructor: Ellen Oiler
