Join us for the opening reception of two solo exhibitions, David Kimball Anderson: The Branch, The Leaf, The Spider Web and Ken Taylor Reynaga: In Good Company, on Thursday, October 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at RAM. In The Branch, The Leaf, The Spider Web, David Kimball Anderson brings together sculpture, drawing, and painting that reflect his enduring attentiveness to the natural world, material histories, and the relationship between the physical and the spiritual. Moving between intimate objects and celestial phenomena, Anderson invites viewers to consider the extraordinary within the familiar and the connections between what we can see, hold, and sense. In Good Company brings together paintings and sculptural works by Ken Taylor Reynaga that explore the relationships between people, objects, and the spaces they inhabit. Drawing from the everyday experiences and cultural landscape of California's Central Valley, Reynaga finds significance in domestic still lifes, portraiture, and the recurring form of the sombrero. Through richly layered surfaces that move between representation and abstraction, his work considers themes of memory, identity, and belonging. Together, these exhibitions offer two distinct perspectives on the significance of everyday objects and experiences, inviting us to look more closely at the world around us. Everyone is welcome. We look forward to celebrating with you! Light refreshments will be served.

Keep exploring
