Join marine conservation scientist, author, and award-winning public science educator Dr. David Shiffman to learn all about these amazing animals, and how you can help save them from extinction. Dr. David Shifman is a Washington, DC based ocean conservation scientist who studies threatened marine animals and the policies needed to save them. As a writer, his words have appeared in National Geographic, Scientific American, the Washington Post, internationally syndicated op-eds, and a monthly column in SCUBA diving magazine, and he is the author of “Why Sharks Matter” from Johns Hopkins University Press.
