Junk2Genius 2026: Creative Reuse Team Challenge

Junk2Genius is back! This iteration of Sacramento’s much-loved Creative Reuse Team Challenge brings businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations together for a night of friendly competition. Teams collaborate in our high-energy "sculpt-off" to problem-solve, experiment, and build original creations using reclaimed, landfill-diverted materials for 90 minutes within our surprise theme. No construction, engineering, or artistic background is necessary! Every team brings a different perspective, and that is exactly what makes the challenge so exciting! Bring your team for a night of team-building, complete with awards, prizes, and bragging rights a plenty! ll proceeds directly fund ReCreate’s hands-on STEAM programming for under-resourced, Title 1 schools across the Sacramento Valley.
