Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes with 4-H

Join 4-H to create Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes at Remick Participants will design and create a whimsical home for a fairy or gnome from found natural materials! In the first part of the activity, we’ll have a guided search for natural materials around the Remick Museum Center. Afterward, each participant will build their own little house on a cardboard base to take home. Materials: Glue guns and house bases will be provided. Feel free to collect natural items around your own home to bring and share. Other requirements: Ages 7+ with a parent or guardian. The event will take place outside, so please wear closed-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather. In the event of heat or rain, we will move the event indoors. Fair Exhibit Display: Our builders are encouraged to show off their fairy house or gnome home at the Sandwich and Fryeburg Fairs, in their 4-H Exhibit Halls. More information on how to register a fair display will be available at the activity and in a follow-up email. Note: Remick is the host site for this program.
