Starting your own plants from seed is a rewarding way to get a jump start on the growing season, access unique varieties not available in local nurseries, save money, and ensure your plants are healthy and free of pests from the beginning. Understand the essential supplies needed, the step-by-step process, ongoing care, and how to safely transplant your seedlings into your growing space of choice. This program takes place indoors and outdoors, and includes a guided tour of the Remick gardens (weather dependent). Class leader: Taylor Lovely, Remick Gardener FREE for members | $5 for nonmembers For ages 16+, ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. This series is aimed at creating resiliency against rising prices at the supermarket, as well as providing healthful, nutritious fruits and vegetables from your backyard.
