@ Carnegie Hall’s Link Up: The Orchestra Moves is an interactive assembly that brings the power of music and movement to students in grades 3–5. In this engaging program, students explore the many ways music moves—through sound, emotion, and physical motion. Using Orff Schulwerk strategies and creative movement activities, students will discover how musical ideas travel through time and space, from high to low, creating patterns, motifs, and expressive moments that shape a performance. They will also experience how music inspires movement, from subtle gestures to the energy of dance. Through hands-on participation, engaging demonstrations, and an immersive performance with the orchestra, students will see and feel how music comes alive in motion. This dynamic experience encourages students to listen, move, and connect with music in new ways. This free assembly is part of Carnegie Hall’s Link Up program, designed to make music come alive for students while fostering creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
