THIS JUST IN… is a mixed long-form and short-form improv comedy show that parodies the structure and tone of a traditional TV news broadcast with the absurdity of character-driven improv. Anchors, field reporters, correspondents, and special guests will navigate a world of absurd characters through the lens of “serious” journalism. Core recurring segments anchor each performance, but other segments rotate show-to-show, allowing for freshness and variety every time. Guest improvisors and cameo characters will regularly appear, giving each show its own unpredictable cast of personalities. The result is going to be a fast-moving comedic news hour where bold characters, goofy spontaneous choices, and audience prompts shaping a completely new experience at every performance.
