Get your hands inky and explore the beauty of imperfection with spontaneous mark making, textured layers, motifs and playful experimentation – rooted in the Wabi Sabi approach to Mono Printing, celebrating the beauty of the unrepeatable. Classes explore a variety of techniques and materials for creating monoprints. Students will learn to use a gel plate, brayer, stencils, rice paper, textures, paints, and more. You will have use of 1 5″x7″ Gelli mono printing plate, inking plate, brayer, acrylic and ink, a variety of papers to print on, mylar stencils. and rubber stamps. Students bring gloves if desired, beverage and lunch.
