Mark Bettis Gallery is pleased to announce a new group exhibition, When Light Returns, opening Saturday, April 11th, from 5–7 PM. The exhibition draws inspiration from the arrival of spring and the quiet, powerful renewal that follows winter’s slumber. When Light Returns explores themes of rebirth, growth, and awakening. As the days lengthen and warmth returns, flowers emerge from thawed ground, animals stir from rest, and insects hatch—each beginning again in cycles both delicate and resilient. The works in this exhibition reflect these moments of transformation, capturing the beauty of emergence and the promise of new beginnings. Through a variety of styles and mediums, participating artists interpret spring not only as a season, but as a metaphor for hope, restoration, and the persistence of life. The exhibition will be shown at the Mark Bettis Gallery’s River Arts District location from April 11th through April 25th, 2026. There will be an opening reception at the gallery on Saturday, April 11th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The artists will be present to meet and talk with guests about their creations. All the works on display will be offered for sale. Mark Bettis Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday 10am to 4pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm, Sundays 11pm-3pm. The gallery is located in the River Arts District at 123 Roberts Street, Asheville NC 28801.
