Who were the first women to fly for the United States military? How did sexism, racism and antisemitism shape the wartime experiences of minority women? Birdie, a Jewish pilot featured in FLY FOR FREEDOM, joins the groundbreaking Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs). Serving alongside Hazel Ah Ying Lee, one of only two Chinese American WASPs, she navigates racism, sexism, and patriotism to contribute to the war effort. Developed in partnership with the Museum of Flight, Museum of History & Industry, Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park and Boeing. Free and open to the public, but registration is required by emailing [email protected], calling (716) 483-6646, or you can fill out the form below.
