About this event
One of 10 upcoming events at Robert H Jackson Center.
Understand the impact of Executive Order 9066, which led to the imprisonment of thousands of innocent Japanese Americans during World War II, through the experiences of one young incarcerated citizen. In 1941, Emiko is an ordinary American teenager whose life is changed forever when racism and xenophobia explode against her community after Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, forcing her and every member of her family to find a way to prove their loyalty to a country that sees them as “the face of the enemy.” Developed in partnership with the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian American Experience. Free and open to the public, but registration is required by emailing [email protected], calling (716) 483-6646, or you can fill out the form below.
