Her work explores intuition, emotion, and the expressive power of color. Each painting begins with an instinctive response to color, texture, and feeling, evolving organically through a process guided by both spontaneity and intention. Music plays a vital role in her studio practice, influencing the rhythm, energy, and movement within each piece. Working primarily with acrylics, graphite, and pastels, Melissa builds richly layered compositions that invite a sensory and emotional experience. Rooted in openness and discovery, her abstract works encourage personal interpretation rather than fixed meaning. Through color, texture, and gesture, she creates space for a quiet dialogue between the artwork and the viewer where connection, emotion, and imagination come alive.
