THE HILLS HAVE EYES (1977) Taking a detour whilst en route to L.A., the Carter family (featuring Dee Wallace of E.T. and THE HOWLING) is in deep shit when their camper van breaks down in the middle of the desert — and they find themselves at the mercy of monstrous cannibals lurking in the hills. With their lives under threat, the Carters are forced to fight back by any means necessary. Horror master Craven achieved critical and commercial success with the likes of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and SCREAM — but for many genre fans, the director’s seminal ‘77 effort remains his masterpiece. 89 mins. The costume contest will happen right after the screening of The Hills Have Eyes, so that you can change out of your costumes and into your PJs! The three top costumes will take home a special prize! In this horror cult classic, May (Angela Bettis) is a socially awkward veterinary assistant with a lazy eye and an obsession with perfection. Never really fitting in, she grew up wearing a pirate’s patch, and her sole companion continues to be a perfectly kept doll — until she meets handsome Adam (Jeremy Sisto) and his beautiful hands. As May’s relationships with Adam and an alluring colleague (Anna Faris) descend into depravity, she soon finds out that people are not 100% perfect — only certain parts of them are. 93 mins. Originally broadcast live on October 31, 1987, the WNUF Halloween Special is a stunning expose of terrifying supernatural activity that unfolded at the infamous Webber House, the site of ghastly murders. Local television personality Frank Stewart leads a group of paranormal investigators, including Catholic exorcist Father Joseph Matheson and the prolific husband-and-wife team Louis and Claire Berger. Together, the experts explore the darkest corners of the supposedly haunted Webber House, trying to prove the existence of the demonic entities within. Did they find the horrific truth or simply put superstitious rumors to rest? [Terror Vision] 83 mins. At 16, Justine is a brilliant, promising student and a strict vegetarian. But when she starts veterinary school, she quickly encounters a decadent, merciless and dangerously seductive world. Desperate to fit in during the first week of hazing rituals, she strays from her principles and eats raw meat for the first time and faces the terrible and unexpected consequences of her actions as her true self emerges. 95 mins.
