TRON (4K Restoration)

Steven Lisberger’s TRON plunges Jeff Bridges into a glowing digital universe of programs, gladiatorial games, and machine logic, creating one of the most distinctive visions of cyberspace ever put on screen. Syd Mead’s concept work helped shape the film’s sleek vehicles and futuristic environments, bringing his precision and industrial imagination to a world that felt radically new in 1982. Decades later, TRON still looks like the future as dreamed by a graphic designer with the circuitry exposed. Part of The Future According to Syd Mead, presented in conjunction with Syd Mead: Future Pastime, on view October 8 through December 17, 2026 at San Francisco’s Transamerica Pyramid Annex Gallery. Note films start right at the listed showtime. Free or discounted for members. All ticket sales are final.
