About this event

On Daisy

One of 3 upcoming events at Sag Harbor Historical Museum, and 497 across the Hamptons.

From Sag Harbor Historical Museum

Enchanting storyteller and food historian, Diane Schwindt will share with us many of the interesting snippets and expressions she’s learned over her years of researching colonial America. What was the role of the Colonial Tavern in the community? What transpired within its walls? Why were expressions like “blackballed”, “punchline”, and “shot glass” created and what did they mean? Join us Saturday afternoon on November 7th to listen to Diane humorously telling us what colonial life was really like.
