Sunday on the Porch – The Revolution at Hand

Sag Harbor’s Revolution is a seven-year long history of British occupation, exile, and a hard-won Patriot victory. This exhibit goes beyond those years, too, to what Sag Harbor was before the war and what it became after – including those whose histories have been forgotten. Join curator’s Mary Jane Marcasiano and Alex McNear, along with Nancy of Nancy’s Tailoring, as they share what they discovered in creating this exhibition – and how they discovered it. To fully tell the story, the curators worked with objects on loan from Sylvester Manor and Preservation Long Island, as well as Pierson High School students re-imagining 1770s fashion. Admission is free.
