Downtown Tile Patterns

Downtown Tile Patterns with Meghan Hessman Morning Sessions Tuesdays, Oct 6, 11am-Noon & Oct 13, 10am-Noon | $40 During week One, we'll meet at the Salina Art Center, in Downtown Salina, to study different tile patterns on historic buildings and take reference photos. Bring the reference photos during Week Two, we'll simplify the shapes, and create loose sketches of the tile patterns. We'll transfer the sketches onto watercolor paper, and paint our designs with watercolor while discussing different terms and techniques together. It's recommended to take the Geometric Watercolor and Ink Class and Splatter Flowers Class offered beforehand if you are new to sketching and watercolor. Register Here!
