About this event

“Black Indians: An American Story,” explores the issue of racial identity among Native and African Americans. This in-depth documentary examines the native ancestry and the coalescence of these Indian tribes in American history. Discounted, and often ignored by mainstream America, these minority peoples have often shared a common native history. However, with their heritage ignored and their contributions denied they are all but invisible at the dawn of the new millennium. Director: Chip Richie, 2001, NR, 60 mins. Immediately following the film, join us for the lively panel discussion with our panelists who will provide insight as well as resources available to the San Antonio community.   ADMISSION IS FREE, BUT PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! The doors to The Little Carver open at 5:30pm, and the film begins at 6pm.
