About this event

Take a break from the ordinary and look up, way up. Join us for an unforgettable evening under the stars, with Madison Middle School science teacher Patrick Pezzoli bringing the universe a little closer to home. In his engaging presentation, “How the Stars Made Planets, Barley & Hops, and YOU!” you’ll discover the cosmic connections between the galaxies above and the very ingredients in your glass. From the birth of stars to the elements that make up life (and great beer), this is science told in a way that’s fascinating, approachable, and just the right amount of mind-blowing. And if the skies cooperate, the experience doesn’t stop there. A 16-inch telescope will be set up for live stargazing, giving you the chance to catch a real-time glimpse of Jupiter and beyond.
