When Saturday, August 15, 10am-5pm Sunday, August 16, 10am-4pm Where San Francisco County Fair Building — Hall of Flowers About the Show FREE admission, all ages! Each summer, on the third weekend in August, the Dahlia Society of California, San Francisco draws thousands of visitors to its annual show in the enormous Hall of Flowers. Growers from all over the state (and sometimes country!) bring their best blooms to be judged. View hundreds of the “best-of-the-best” blooms as Dahlia Society members compete for ribbons in several categories, including: Best in Show; People’s Choice Award; Best Arrangement; Best Junior Bloom; and Nature’s Oddities. You must be a member to compete, but the public is welcome to see this eye-popping event.
