Easy Sketching with Eileen: Pumpkins & Gourds

Registration includes a comprehensive sketch kit. Sunday, October 11, 2026 11am-12:30pm San Francisco Botanical Garden — Meet at Main Gate About the Program Pumpkins are iconic symbols of fall (the season of change), as well as Halloween and spooky things! Eileen will bring decorative gourds, and you will learn how to sketch them and mix the variety of colors they come in. Eileen will teach you how to simplify shapes, look for shadows and details, and add watercolor to their sketches. This class is a relaxing way to observe and record the world around you. Your comprehensive sketch kit will include everything you need to start your sketching practice. The kit includes a sketchbook, pen, pencil, water brush, binder clip, paper towel, and watercolors. You may also bring your own sketching materials. If you have taken a class with Eileen and would like Sketch kit #2, which is a sketchbook and a fountain pen, email Eileen at [email protected]. Please send the date and name of the class you are taking. This class is appropriate for ages 7 and up. All participants must register regardless of age. Please bring your own folding chair or stool.
