Join us at the SCCF Mangrove Nursery to pick up your 2026-2027 mangrove seedling! This year, we are building out our new nursery space with a new address, new parking, and a new event schedule. Friday, October 16th Saturday, October 24th Saturday, November 21st Friday December 4th What? SCCF’s Adopt-A-Mangrove initiative encourages local community members to “adopt” mangroves and nurture them in their homes, businesses, or schools until they are large enough to be planted in a shoreline restoration site. How? The process is simple: pick up your adopted mangrove seedling, along with all the guidance needed to take care of these vital coastal plants, watch the baby tree grow under your loving care, and bring them back in the spring! Why? The precious mangrove seedlings will be planted at one of SCCF’s many restoration sites, contributing to the preservation of our vital habitats. Mangrove mamas and propagule papas can even sign up to plant their very own mangrove seedling at a coastal restoration site in the spring.
