About this event
One of 165 upcoming events at Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, and 1,364 across Fort Myers.
Every summer, Southwest Florida’s beaches become nesting sites for one of the ocean’s most beloved animals: sea turtles! Our most common nesters on Sanibel are loggerhead and green sea turtles. Join us to learn about the incredible nesting process of sea turtles: from a mother turtle’s nighttime visit to the beach to the exciting emergence of hatchlings racing toward the Gulf. With September toward the end of the season, we’ll also have some exciting updates to share on how many nests were laid by species. And of course, we’ll focus on how people can help protect these incredible marine reptiles. Learn More >>
