From owls to eagles, hummingbirds to sparrows, join us as we explore the various birds that call Schweiger Ranch home! Schweiger Ranch has teamed up with South Suburban Parks & Recreation District to provide free, guided walking tours led by professional naturalists from SSPRD. These tours offer insight and education into the natural environment on and around Schweiger Ranch, while offering a chance to get some fresh air and exercise. Join us to see and hear the early morning cheery birds of spring. This event is held outside. It will be modified or canceled due to inclement weather or poor walking conditions. Limited space | Registration opens on May 1st and will close on July 14th or earlier if capacity is reached
Schweiger Ranch is a Douglas County historic landmark and homesteaded in 1874 by three Austrian brothers. It is now a living history museum.
