About this event
One of 22 upcoming events at Science Central.
Disability Nights is our program for people with developmental, intellectual, and emotional disabilities, where we focus on observational astronomy. Sessions are free to attend for those individuals, along with their caregivers. Led by Fort Wayne Astronomical Society and SC’s Planetarium Manager, this session is hosted at the Star*Quest Observatory: 1730 Webster Rd, New Haven, IN 46774 Come and go throughout the duration of the program. The event is rain or shine, but visibility may be limited due to weather. This location has a limit of 50 guests per session; register early! What makes this session different from other Star*Quest Observatory sessions? We’re going to offer access to additional lighting (red flashlights to help navigate), a less-crowded environment, extra staff on hand, hands-on abilities to use telescopes, binoculars, and alternative ways to learn about astronomy (like tactile maps and models).
